Former student returns as Principal of St Mary's School, Charleville

Megan Pearce has been appointed as the new principal of St Mary's School in Charleville. Megan has been the Principal of St Joseph’s School, Weipa, since 2019, and brings a wealth of experience and qualifications to her new role. She holds a Bachelor of Education, a Certificate of Religion in Catholic Schools and is currently completing a Master of Educational Leadership and a Master in Neuroscience of Learning.
Megan's extensive experience includes roles as Principal, Assistant Principal, Learning Support Teacher, and classroom teacher across various schools in both metropolitan and remote areas of Queensland. She also served as an Education Officer in the Toowoomba Catholic Schools Office during 2010 and 2011.
Having grown up in Charleville and being a past student of St Mary’s School, Megan is excited to return to her community and lead the school. Her passion, knowledge and expertise will greatly benefit the school and its students.
We look forward to seeing the positive impact Megan will have in her new role leading one of our 32 schools as part of Toowoomba Catholic Schools.
