Are you a passionate education student ready to pave the way toward a successful teaching career?
We are thrilled to offer two paid scholarships for students who are in their final years of studying an education program at university.
Here’s why you’ll love being part of our program.
What you’ll gain
- Guidance and mentorship: Each intern will be paired with an experienced teacher mentor who will provide personalised support throughout the program. Learn from the best.
- Hands-on experience: Spend one day per week at our vibrant college, immersing yourself in the world of education. Observe classes, support with lessons, and receive valuable feedback.
- Professional development: Access professional learning opportunities, workshops, and resources. Expand your knowledge and skills.
- Connection and school support: You’ll foster connections with educators and be a part of a collaborative school system. You won’t be alone—an assigned Mentor Teacher will be with you every step of the way.
Scholarship details
- School: St Joseph’s College, Toowoomba
- Duration: Approximately one term (10 weeks)
- Casual work hours: 6 hours per week during school weeks
- Incentive value: Be paid to learn as a School Officer, Level 3 Step 1 | $33.17 per hour (plus 25% casual loading)
Eligibility
To qualify for this exciting opportunity, you must be
- currently studying an education program at university and in the third or fourth year of an undergraduate degree, or final semester of a postgraduate degree.
